TV

PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE is a dark comedic TV series about the outsiders in high school. The art kids, the losers, the freaks. Possibly the least dangerous kids who ever lived. But it’s 1999, Columbine just happened, and the world is about to look at these outsiders in a whole new way. A soulful comedy series in the vein of movies like ELECTION or GHOST WORLD with the tension of Netflix’s END OF THE F*CKING WORLD. It touches on fractured families, small town bigotry, and addresses the post-Columbine paranoia with heartfelt sincerity.

And it’s a story that happened to me.

As a kid, I drew some pretty violent comic books. When Columbine happened, one drawing almost got me kicked out of school.  PUBLIC ENEMY #1 is a TV series about that time and how America never got past it.
